IT Content & Connectivity Executive

LOCATION: ALTON (rural location)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the fast growing IT/Operations team at International Rail, a global travel provider, specialising in rail travel. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to support our IT/Operations Director as well as holding responsibility for key tasks within the business.

The key responsibilities will include:

·  Creating site content libraries and maintaining them on internal and external sites

·  Provide first line support to IT users for hardware, software, network and printing issues

·  Updating and maintaining newsfeeds

·  Building and maintaining the company intranet website

·  Social media updates

·  Client database management

·  Call centre setup/management


The ideal applicant will:

·  Have excellent communication and team-working skills to deal with people at all levels both in the company and externally

·  Be able to organise and prioritise numerous tasks

·  Be resourceful and proactive in dealing with problems and queries

·  Be able to demonstrate good IT awareness and the ability to learn quickly

·  Be able to work on their own initiative, as well as part of a team

·  Be numerate and computer-literate, with a sharp eye for detail

·  An interest in travel

This is an ideal first role for someone wanting to establish a career in IT. Full on the job training will be provided.
