Travel Around Germany on a Budget with the Interrail Germany Pass

With an Interrail Germany Pass in your pocket you can travel around Germany for up to one month at your own pace, visiting the bustling urban centres or getting out to the countryside to explore the scenery. A great place to start is in the capital, Berlin, which is famous for its art scene, modern landmarks and cool, cosmopolitan vibe. From there you could travel north to the canal city of Hamburg, before looping southwest to Cologne on the banks of the Rhine, Frankfurt, the country’s financial hub, and Munich, the Bavarian capital where Oktoberfest is celebrated every year.

Of course, it’s not all about the major cities – Germany’s beautiful areas of countryside are peppered with small towns and villages which are best reached by train. For the ultimate German experience, we recommend a blend of the rural and the urban.

Using your Interrail Germany Pass

The Interrail Germany Pass can be used over a period of one month, and offers you the choice between three, four, six and eight travel days. This means that within four weeks, you can use Germany’s train system for the selected number of days. For travellers seeking maximum adventure, eight travel days will allow the most freedom – but don’t forget that on each day of travel you can take as many train journeys as you like.

When booking, you can choose to travel in first or second class. Students, youths, seniors and groups travelling as a family can also benefit from some excellent discounts. Find out more by calling us for a chat on +44 (0) 871 231 0790.
