Update: General Strike in Belgium - 22nd December 2011

Following on from our recent communication concerning the strike action taking place in Belgium on 22nd December 2011, we have received updated information regarding the disrupted services.

The details are as follows.

Eurostar

Here are the details of the services that will be operating to and from Lille Europe on 22nd December.

Thalys

Due to the general strike in Belgium, ALL THALYS services are CANCELLED on 22nd December.

Customers with tickets valid to travel on any Thalys service on 22nd December can obtain a full refund or exchange their ticket free of charge.

In the case of exchanges, if the cost of the new ticket is greater than that of the original ticket, the customer must pay the difference in price.

All Thalys services are closed for sale on 22nd December, including the 9388, 9487, 9389 and 9397 on 21st December).

Thursday, 22nd December:

ICE 10 Frankfurt/M (18:29) - Brussels Midi, terminates in Aachen
ICE 11 Brussels Midi (06:25) - Frankfurt/M, begins in Aachen
ICE 14 Frankfurt/M (14:16) - Brussels Midi, terminates in Aachen
ICE 15 Brussels Midi (10:25) - Frankfurt/M, begins in Aachen
ICE 16 Frankfurt/M (10:16) - Brussels Midi, terminates in Aachen
ICE 17 Brussels Midi (14:25) - Frankfurt/M, begins in Aachen
ICE 18 Frankfurt/M (06:25) - Brussels Midi, terminates in Aachen
ICE 19 Brussels Midi (18:25) - Frankfurt/M, begins in Aachen

A replacement bus service will be in operation between Aachen and Brussels in both directions. Buses may be subject to overcrowding. Connections at Aachen cannot be guaranteed.

TGV
Thursday, 22nd December:

All TGV services that run on the line to Brussels have been cancelled between Lille and Brussels. TGV services will begin and terminate at Lille Europe. Alternative transport cannot be guaranteed
