TGV disruptions in Brittany Monday 30th January 2012

We have been advised that TGV services are currently disrupted in the Brittany region of north western France due to a power failure. Services from Brittany to Paris are expected to be severely delayed as they are being redirected via Le Mans and Redon.

Services have started to return to normal now. Services from Paris to Brittany are running as normal.

  • TGV 5358 - 5 hours 30 minutes delay
  • TGV 8080 & 8610 - 5hours delay
  • TGV 8712 - 4 hours 30 minutes delay

TGV trains between Brittany and Paris and between Brittany and Montpellier are expected to be delayed by between 1 to 2 hours.

All tickets with reservation (Public, Group and RIT, and regardless of the after-sales conditions stated on the ticket) valid for travel on an affected TGV service can be used on any other train operating on the same route as the original ticket, until normal services resume. Seats cannot be guaranteed during this time.

Due to expected service disruptions, the timetable cannot be guaranteed.

Groups are advised not to travel, as seats cannot be guaranteed.

Tickets must still be validated in the yellow machines at French stations, prior to boarding the train.
