French Rail Strike Planned - 7th - 9th November 2011

We have been advised that a French rail strike has been planned and is set to start at 20:00hrs local time on Monday 7th November 2011 and end at 08:00hs local time on Wednesday 9th November 2011.

Travellers should confirm all train reservations and be prepared for delays if the strike continues as planned.

If you are planning to travel by train or subway within France during the above dates then we recommend that you check with the railway immediately to reconfirm travel arrangements. If your train has been cancelled, you can request a reservation on the next available train but it will depend on the services running during the strike.

Traffic on roadways near the train station may be considerably more congested than normal and stations are likely to become very crowded with long delays at ticket desks & machines. Allow a good measure of extra time to get to the station and check in.
