Disrupted TGV France-Italy services on 9th and 10th January 2012

We have been informed that the Fréjus tunnel in south-eastern France has been closed, this is affecting TGV France-Italy services on 9th and 10th January 2012.

TGV 9241, 9245 and 9249 (Paris to Turin/Milan) will terminate in Modane.

TGV 9241: A replacement bus service will be available to transport passengers from Modane to their onwards TGV France-Italy destination in Italy.

TGV 9245 and 9249: A replacement bus service will be available to transport passengers from Modane to Bardonecchia. From Bardonecchia, passengers will be transported to their onwards TGV France-Italy destination by TGV.

TGV 9240 (Milan/Turin to Paris) will start in Modane: A replacement bus service will be available to transport passengers from Milan Garibaldi to Modane (stopping at the usual TGV France-Italy stations along the way). From Modane, passengers will be transported to Paris by TGV.

TGV 9244 and 9248 (Milan/Turin to Paris) will terminate in Bardonecchia. From Bardonecchia a replacement bus service will be available to transport passengers from Bardonecchia to Modane. From Modane, passengers will be transported to Paris by TGV.

Delays of up to 2 hours are expected on top of the usual journey time.

AFTER-SALES

Passengers who opt not to travel on 9th & 10th January 2012 can obtain a full refund, regardless of the after-sales specified on the original ticket. Passengers with return tickets, where only one of the journeys is affected, can get a full refund on both the outbound and inbound tickets.
