Japan Rail West Pass (Kansai Area)

Covering a smaller, more specific area of western Japan, this excursion pass allows the visitor to explore the many sightseeing locations of the Kansai Area.

This pass can be used for travelling to Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara, Himeji and other sightseeing places in the Kansai area via local trains i.e. (the rapid service and the new rapid service trains can also be used).

This pass is available for 1 or 4 days of consecutive travel starting from the first travel date, and allows unlimited use of the Ordinary class cars, including the rapid-service and special rapid-service trains.

This pass cannot be used for the Shinkansen super express trains. When boarding a train other than a Shinkansen super express train, such as a limited express or express train, it will be necessary to pay additional charges on top of the pass price (this can only be done locally).
