It is valid for travel on all the 72 railway lines of JR EAST: 5 Shinkansen Super Express Lines & 67 Conventional Lines.

Conditions:

The voucher must be exchanged in Japan between 1st April and 21 June, 2012.
You must travel with the Japan Rail East Pass Special between 1st April and 30th June, 2012.
When booking your pass, the first date of travel must be between 1st April and 20 June, 2012.

You can also use the Japan Rail East Pass to ride the Izu Kyuko Line (Super-View Odoriko, Odoriko), the Hokuetsu Kyuko Line (Hakutaka, between Echigoyuzawa and Naoetsu) and the Tobu-Nikko Line (Nikko, Spacia Nikko, Kinugawa and Spacia Kinugawa trains).
