Royal India - Itinerary - 8 Days / 7 Nights

Delhi- Agra - Ranthambore - Jaipur - Bikaner - Jodhpur - Udaipur - Vadodara - Mumbai

Day 01 / Saturday - Delhi-Agra

Arrive at the station and complete check-in formalities before embarking on the Maharajas' Express for the delightful ride to Agra.

Day 02 / Sunday - Agra

Sunrise visit to the exquisite Taj Mahal followed by breakfast at Taj Khema after which, if you wish, you can take a morning tour to Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah. After lunch onboard, proceed for shopping for pietra dura inlay on marble or Mughal jewellery and/or optional spa.

Day 03 / Monday - Ranthambore-Jaipur

Get ready for an exciting safari into the Ranthambore National Park. Continue to the pink city of Jaipur and proceed to visit the impregnable Amber Fort before attending an enthralling Exhibition Elephant Polo match with dinner.

Day 04 / Tuesday - Bikaner

At Bikaner enjoy an optional excursion to Deshnok or Lalgarh Palace Museum in the morning and in the afternoon visit the Junagarh Fort. Later experience royal pageantry with Sundowner cocktails and delicious barbecue on the Sand Dunes of Bikaner.

Day 05 / Wednesday - Jodhpur

The blue city of Jodhpur provides the option of a village safari this morning. In the afternoon proceed on a walking tour of the Old Clock Tower Market and continue to the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. Later enjoy a royal cocktail evening at the Fort.

Day 06 / Thursday - Udaipur

Admire the splendid landscape as you arrive into the city of lakes, Udaipur. Visit the City Palace and experience the hospitality of the Durbar Hall over a royal lunch. Later, proceed for a walking tour of the Old Market.

Day 07 / Friday - Vadodara

Visit the World Heritage Site of Champaner and continue for a royal lunch typical to the feudal lords of Jambughoda Palace. Proceed for a visit to the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. Savour high tea at the magnificent Laxmi Vilas Palace before returning to the train for an 'Indian Evening'.

Day 08 / Saturday - Mumbai

Arrive at Mumbai and bid farewell to the Maharajas' Express as your journey comes to an end.
