Aus Reef and Beach Pass

The all new Aus Reef and Beach Pass gives you the flexibility of unlimited travel to places such as Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns within a three month or six month period.

The Aus Reef and Beach Pass also covers you for travel to other popular destinations such as Airlie Beach for the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsundays, Maryborough West for Hervey Bay and Fraser Island, the Outback, Byron Bay and Coffs Harbour.

The Aus Reef and Beach Pass is available for travel on rail services operated by Queensland Rail and CountryLink including;

The pass is not available for travel on any Queensland City Trains, The Savannahlander, The Gulflander, the Kuranda Scenic Railway, Sydney CityRail, the Melbourne Met and Victoria's V-Line.

The Aus Reef and Beach Pass is not available to Australian passport holders, only to international visitors with foreign passports. Clients are advised to carry their passport with them at all times as railway staff may wish to check it against the passport numbers endorsed on the Pass.

Passengers are requested to arrive at their first station of travel at least 90 minutes prior to departure to have their Voucher exchanged for a Pass and validated for travel. Pass exchange stations for the Aus Reef and Beach Pass are: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns.

A surcharge applies for travel on the Cairns Tilt Train.  Upgrade to a Sleeping Berth/First Class or Business Class Seat is allowed - surcharges apply.   No discount is available for seniors / students / backpackers / children.

Pre-booking, amendment or cancellation of all train/coach bookings is required at least 24 hours in advance.  To ensure you obtain maximum value from your pass, you are strongly advised to reserve space on as many sectors as possible before travel (and at least 24 hours) or before arrival in Australia if itinerary is known.

You can pre-book any journeys onto your pass in advance through ourselves for a small per journey charge, plus any fuel and upgrade surcharges should these be applicable
